El "Matador" igualó 1 a 1 con el "Lobo" en el tiempo reglamentario de los 16avos de final de la Copa Argentina. Gonzalo Vargas había abierto el marcador a los 7 minutos, mientras que Matías Escobar lo emparejó a seis del final. Así debieron definir desde los doce pasos y ganaron los de Victoria por 4 a 1, para acceder a los octavos de final. Antes, Atlético Tucumán superó por 4 a 3 a Sportivo Italiano en los penales, tras empatar 0 a 0 en tiempo reglamentario.
